NOT WORK
Here are some gifts I’ve made over the years for friends, family, and occasions.
Because I like making things (and also because I’m cheap).
Chicken War Poster
A hungry dog got into my brother’s chicken coup, killing three out of his four hens.
It was a gory affair, and reminded me of our favorite childhood movie.
So I made him a poster to honor their sacrifice.
Rosewood Application
When I applied for the Jr. Creative position at Rosewood, I didn’t have a portfolio, or even a camera for that matter.
But I did have Google Maps, and that’s all I needed to introduce myself in the strangest way possible.
Part Of Your World
My girlfriend hates commuting while I get to work from home, so I covered one of her favorite Disney songs to let her know I miss her when she’s gone.
Princess Mononoke
My girlfriend loves Princess Mononoke and I know she secretly wishes she could ride our cats. Plus I just learned how to shoot in slow-mo…
Come Back
My mother in-law gifted me Hamilton tickets for my birthday. So for hers, I partnered with her family and friends to cover one of the songs.
It’s mostly inside jokes, but the gist of it is that she travels a lot.
Memorial Shirts
When my buddy’s dog died, I made shirts for his family of Yosi flying away.
Christmas Cards
I love my family. And I love food. But most of all I love puns.
Sheep Posters
My dad always goes for sheep when our family plays Settlers of Catan.
So for his birthday I made two portraits celebrating that love.
More Holiday Cards
In another example of my stunning frugality,
I took old family photos (left) and created little comics (right)
Fire Bad
In High School I made a stop motion animation about fire.
Special Effects Test
Before shooting an action film (which was terrible) with my friends, I needed to figure out the special effects. It’s a miracle I’m still here.
